Rug Pull

A fraudulent method of acquiring funds used by scammers in cryptocurrency, in which crypto project developers attract investors towards new crypto projects, and get them to help fund the endeavor, but then sell their assets off, or withdraw large amounts of the funds from their own project’s liquidity pool, before the project is publicly launched. This leaves the investors with worthless investments, but gives scammers access to the wasted funds of countless investors.
