Markdown Phase

A period of time in crypto markets in which the supply of a given cryptocurrency will greatly outpace the demand for it. Prices of crypto at this point will stop stagnating, and begin to decline rapidly as more people feel the pressure to sell their assets, in order to avoid a loss in profitability.
