Decentralization

A transfer of power or control, that often involves taking away power from a larger and more powerful authority, and giving it to smaller, more community centric authorities. In crypto, this often translates into the process of which economic transactions of a crypto coin, token or asset are transferred away from traditional banks or brokerage firm mediary services, and into the blockchain networks which are managed by a large number of computers across various locations.
