A peer to peer crypto exchange platform that is entirely independent of traditional intermediaries such as banks or brokers. 0x protocol, unlike more traditional brokerage services, does not charge fees for its usage of mediation services, and much of the platform is controlled by the users of the community, rather than a handful of individuals.
